The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

The main city of Hungary is Budapest and it is a capital which is characterized by its charming parks, vibrant nightlife, interesting museums, and hospitable people. The city is mostly divided into 23 districts but they can be grouped in three sections. Downtown Budapest is the Pest area which lies on the Danube's east side.

The Metro network enables you to access the downtown area of Budapest from other parts of the city, or you can consider taking the bus from the airport. When you arrive, car hire in Budapest Downtown can help you get around for the rest of your holiday.

Downtown offers plenty of lodging options and places where you can dine, shop, and explore historical attractions. Downtown is also home to important government buildings like the Parliament, as well as other landmarks like the St. Stephen Cathedral or The Basilica. The Ethnographic Museum and the Jewish Museum are also worth visiting.

Drive along the Andrassy ut boulevard which is similar to the Champs-Elysees in Paris. It links the Hosok tere of the City Park and the Erzsebet ter in V. District while crossing the bustling Oktogon Square. Cheap car hire in Budapest Downtown also lets you visit the shopping street of Vaci utca as well as the Great Market Hall.

Visit other districts in Budapest such as the Buda district and the Castle Hill with car rental in Budapest Downtown. Castle Hill is the city's oldest part where you can find the Castle as well as the Mathias Church, the Labyrinth, and the Fishermen's Bastion, while Buda is on the Danube's west side which is known of its hilly terrain.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
