The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

The aviation gateway to the capital of Hungary is the Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. It is also the biggest among the five international air travel gateways of the country, and its connections with many cities in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and the Middle East make it a busy hub with more than 8 million passengers per year.

The airport is situated about ten miles from the heart of Budapest and it is linked to the city via the Ulloi Road and the E60. It is also near the suburban areas of Maglod, Ullo, Escer, and Pecel. The property consists of two main passenger terminals, with a covered walkway linking Terminals 2A and 2B. Buses provide transfers between terminals 1 and 2.

Public buses and airport minibuses operate from this air hub together with taxis and companies providing car hire in Budapest Airport. By driving, Budapest is just a 20 to 30-minute drive from its international airport via the Ferihegyi Repuloterre Vezeto Ut. There are also train links to the city center via the Western Railway Station.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
