Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Excellent - the website had been sluggish and repeated attempts to make the same booking resulted in 3 bookings. But the team quickly confirmed they had cancelled two, and the actual booking all worked fine once we got to Orlando.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

The city of Lubbock is located in the northwest of the state of Texas in the USA. The airport that serves the city lies around four miles to the north of the city center, and car rental in Lubbock Airport is a much used way to travel around the region.

It is a domestic airport with seven destinations; Dallas (Fort Worth), Dallas (Love), Memphis, Albuquerque, Houston, Las Vegas and Austin. These routes are operated by American Eagle, Delta Connection, Southwest Airlines and Continental Express.

There are two levels to the terminal building, though the upper level is rarely visited by the public. The main level is where the passengers pass through, with check-in in the center of the building, baggage claim and Arrivals at either end and Departures stretching the length of the building behind the main hall.

Most of the facilities of the airport are located in Departures, though information desks, ATMs and car rentals in Lubbock Airport are located in the main hall by Arrivals. Departures is where the restaurants and snack bar are located, as well as a coffee shop, gift shop and news stand.

There are various ways to travel from the airport into the city or to any of the nearby towns, depending on where you are staying. The shuttles and coaches take you to certain stops in the city, while taxis and rental cars can take you wherever you wish.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver.
