I booked a car from a location which didn’t exist, fault of your website, not eurocar. Confusion not helped by you not passing my phone number to Eurocar. Pick up was booked by your website at a random hotel, not mine, nor the site I was expecting to pick car up at. Eurocar rep was amazing though.

The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Off the southern coasts of Cyprus lies the city of Larnaca. It is an important tourist destination in the country and features the second biggest commercial port in the island. To the south of the city is the Larnaca International Airport. From there, a car hire at Larnaca Downtown can easily explore the city.

Depending on where you look, Larnaca as a tourist destination features a number of landmarks. On land, there's the Ancient Kitium ruins from as early as 13th century BC. There's the Bust of Zeno in honor the father of Stoicism. There's also the underground chapel of Ayia Phaneromeni that was said to heal different diseases. All these places are within easy reach with a cheap car hire at Larnaca Downtown.

On water, there's the Larnaca Salt Lake that fills during winter and is favored by migrating flamingos, the Hala Sultan Tekke along the banks of the lake, and the old aqueduct The Kamares. Divers from all over the world also visit Larnaca to check out the Wreck of the Zenobia.

From the city center, get a car rental at Larnaca Downtown so you can go to the beach and check out the numerous seafood restaurants sitting on the beachfront. International and continental dishes are served but local cuisine is also available, of course, and not to be missed.

Every year, there are festivals held in Larnaca that are usually centered in the downtown area. The most important of the festivals though is the Festival of the Flood, or Kataklysmos, celebrated during the early months of summer with several events. This lasts between a week to three weeks and closes off the seafront at night.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
