The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Sarajevo is made up of four municipalities, and it is also known for being a melting pot for religion. Islam, Orthodoxy, and Judaism are just some of the religion present in the city. This has even earned the city the title of “Jerusalem of Europe”. Car rental in Sarajevo Downtown allows visitors to travel around the city even at night.

Sarajevo has been part of world history. First, the assassination of thea Archduke Frnz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife, Sophie, occurred in Sarajevo. This killing was the main reason why the First World War started, about a month after the assassination occurred.

Another instance was when Sarajevo played host to the 1984 Winter Olympics, and experienced the Siege of Saravejo from 1992 to 1995, which is otherwise known as the period of the Bosnian War. Car hire in Saravejo Downtown gives tourists more time to explore the landmarks and tourist attractions in the city.

One of the most star-studded events in Saravejo is the Saravejo Film Festival. This is held in the National Theater, although the films participating in the festival are shown in the Bosnian Cultural Center and the Open-air Theater Metalac.

A number of famous Hollywood celebrities, directors, and even musicians have attended the festival. Some of them are Darren Aronofsky, Mickey Rourke, Sophie Okonedo, Daniel Craig, John Malkovich, and Gillian Anderson. Another festival celebrated in Saravejo is the Saravejo Jazz Festival. It is held in the Bosnian Cultural Center, which is also called the Main Stage.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
