The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Location information for Pisa

The city of Pisa is a town of Tuscany, in central Italy. It is probably most famous for its leaning tower, but the city is also bursting with a string of amazing landmarks and architectural phenomena that will leave tourists breathless. Cheap car hire in Pisa City is certainly desirable as a quick method of transportation for around the city.

The city contains an airport, which sits about one kilometre to the south of the downtown area. It is named after the most famous Italian scientist, and is titled Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport. It isn't an overly massive airport, but does handle quite a large number of passengers every year. Getting to the airport can be made easy with car hire in Pisa City.

Ever since the 1700's, Pisa has been a popular destination for travellers. As a result, the city is home to hundreds of accommodation options. Some of these are cheaper hotels that offer hostel accommodation, and others can be extremely expensive. There is a hotel to suit everyone's taste in Pisa City.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the main site for tourists to Pisa. It is actually a bell tower in the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Field of Wonders, is the most visited site in Pisa, because it is home to the Leaning Tower, and several other attractions, including the Duomo de Pisa and the Battistero.

Other sites worth noting are the attractions of Piazza dei Cavalieri, which include the Palazzo della Caravona, Palazzo dell'Orologio and the Church of San Rocco. None of these attractions are far from each other when using car rental in Pisa City.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
