The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Location information for Albena

Sitting along the Black Sea, Albena is a major resort off northeast of Bulgaria. First built in the 1960s, Albena is located closer to cultural, commercial, and tourist centers, unlike its counterparts that are situated closer to the beach. Although Albena is in a convenient spot, it is still surrounded by lush greens.

From where it is located, Albena is served by the Varna Airport but it is much closer to the town of Balchik. With a car hire at Albena, it would only take 20 minutes to reach the town center. The Varna Airport is located over an hour away by car from Albena.

Albena features a five-kilometer stretch of beach with warm, crystal-clear waters. There more than 40 hotels in the area so guests have a range of accommodations to choose from. Most all rooms feature sea views or of the Baltata National Reserve. The reserve is unique in that it combines a beach setting with wet forests.

Aside from lounging by the beach, guests also have a number of sports and recreation options in Albena. With a cheap car hire at Albena, you can easily go to tennis courts, golf courses, football pitches, equestrian centers, and many others.

Get a car rental at Albena and you can also easily explore nearby Balchik. Balchik is also a resort along the Black Sea but it features a more hilly terrain, with properties perched on terraces. This kind of location descends down to the sea with great views of the waters.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
