Although terminal 1 was indicated

Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Location information for Amboise

In Central France, Amboise is a commune in the department of Indre-et-Loire. Sitting along the banks of the river Loire, it is about 45 minutes away from Tours with a car hire at Amboise Downtown. A small market town, Amboise is also located close to Chateau de Chenonceau.

Chateau de Chenonceau is located in the village of Chenonceaux. A manor house, it as built where an old mill stood along the Cher River. The chateau is famous for having passed ownership from various members of nobility. The original owner though was Jean Marques, punished in 1411 for sedition.

Aside from the Chateau de Chenonceau, Amboise is also famous for another manor house, the Clos Luce, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his days when he was invited by King Francis I of France. Chateau d'Amboise, also owned by the King, is located less than five minutes away with a cheap car hire at Amboise Downtown.

With a car rental at Amboise Downtown, you can also easily check out the Pagode de Chanteloup, a Chinese Pagoda 44 meters in height. First built in 1775, the pagoda has seven levels, with every level slightly smaller than the last. The interior staircase is open to the public and reaches all levels.

Other attractions in Amboise include Musee de la Poste, a museum in Hotel Joyeuse tracing back the history of postal delivery service, and the 19th-century fountain in the market area. Get a car hire at Amboise Downtown and you can easily get around the city to visit these attractions.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres.  How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
