Although terminal 1 was indicated

Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Chartres is situated on the banks of Eure River. It is the commercial center of Beauce, which is known as the Granary of France. Travelers can come to Chartres by riding a train going to Gare de Chartres station. The town is also served by a motorway.

Most of the business establishments of the town can be located in Chartres Downtown. There are offices of car hire in Chartres Downtown as well as food and beverage establishments and quaint boutiques and shops.

The train station of the town offers services going to Paris, Courtalain, Le Mans, and Nogent le Rotrou. Travelers can drive their car rental in Chartres Downtown to the station. Ample parking space can be found outside the station's building. A car hire may also be used to go on road trips to Le Man and Paris, both areas can easily be accessed by taking the A11 motorway.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
