Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Part of the Charente Department, cognac is a commune along the Charente River, situated between the towns of Saintes and Angouleme. Bulk of the town built on the left bank of the river, with a smaller area nestled on the right bank called the Saint Jacques District.

A lot of tourists pass through the Cognac Downtown since it is located on one of the pilgrimage routes headed for Santiago de Compostella. But Cognac is also a destination on its own. Get a car hire at Cognac Downtown and you can easily check out various attractions in the area.

A cheap car hire at Cognac Downtown can get you to Vieux Cognac, the old town, where unique 15th and 18th century structures are found on cobbled streets, many of which also feature different sculptures. Other attractions in the area include Chateau des Valois, the Saint-Leger Church, and the Cognac Public Garden.

When you're done exploring the sights of Cognac, do visit one of the Grande Marque cognac houses in town, producing one of the best-known types of brandy in the world, the cognac. To qualify as a cognac, the spirit must be produced in certain parts of town following strict regulations.

There are several vineyard areas that can easily be reached with a car rental at Cognac Downtown. The best cognacs are typically made only using grapes of the Grande and Petite Champagne variety.  What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
