Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

Cherbourg is a city and a commune in the department of Manche in Northwestern France. Officially known as Cherbourg-Octeville, Cherbourg absorbed Octeville in 2000 and so the city was renamed as such. To get to the city, you can hop on trains headed for Gare de Cherbourg.

Serving the city of Cherbourg-Octeville, Gare de Cherbourg is the west terminus for the Marites-la-Jolie-Cherbourg Railway. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
