Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

The train station is officially known as the Gare de Fontainebleau – Avon, and it is served by the Transilien Paris-Lyon network or the Line R. Both Avon and Fontainebleau are served by this train station.

Riding a train to the Fontainebleau Rail Station is a more convenient way to arriving in Fontainebleau when coming from Paris. From the train station, you can either take the bus to Fontainebleau or pick up your car hire in Fontainebleau Rail Station, which you can book in advance online.

The train station is located in Avon but you can easily reach the heart of Fontainebleau in just ten to fifteen minutes of driving. Cheap car hire in Fontainebleau Rail Station lets you save money from taking public buses all the time just to get around on your own. Drive on the D137, the D210, or on the D606 to arrive in downtown Fontainebleau.

Getting around in town is also easy with the arterial road known as the Rue Grande, which links the end of the town to the castle. Along the way, you can pass by the Napoleon Bonaparte, a central place in town. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops are also found along the way.
