Esslingen is a stunning town in the Stuttgart district of Germany's state of Baden-Wurttemberg. Esslingen was founded in the year 777 and the downtown area is particularly notable for its Medieval surroundings and a castle. These aspects enable the visitor to explore the Medieval history of the town.

The Esslinger Burg, the twin towers of the Stadtkirche, and the Altes Rathaus are among the important attractions of Esslingen. Simply walking along the old streets is already a treat to the senses because of the old-fashioned and Medieval houses. Esslingen is also notable for its own version of the Oktoberfest known as the Zwiebelfest.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
