The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Fancy experiencing a memorable beach front holiday in Italy? Then look no further than the city of Alghero. It is situated on the coast of Sardinia, one of the largest Italian islands. It is situated in the northwest of the island, and has more than 44,000 residents. Large numbers of tourists flock to the city, so cheap car hire in Alghero Downtown is extremely handy.

The downtown section of Alghero is found close to the main street of town – Via Cagliari. This street is found close to the port area of town, in the western half of the city. One of the most famous attractions in the city is the Lidos Beach, which is just to the north of Alghero Downtown. Car hire in Alghero Downtown is considered to be the most appropriate transportation use in the city.

There is an airport that serves the people of Alghero and the surrounding community. It is called the Alghero Airport, and sits about 12kms to the north of town. It sits along the SS291 highway, which makes it an extremely easy target for tourists using car rental in Alghero Downtown.

The town contains hotels all over the cityscape, but many of the more advanced or elegant accommodation options are situated closer to the shoreline. Nevertheless, the Alghero Downtown area does contain numerous other hotel options, including different styles.

Some sites worth visiting in the city include Palazzo Carcassona, Alghero Cathedral, Church of St Francis, the Madonna del Santa Rosario, and Church of St Michael. The beaches are also a wonderful place to hang out for several days too.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
