The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Located on the eastern banks of Lake Garda in the north of the country is the beautiful north Italian city of Garda. Garda is home to a population of roughly 30,000 and offers tourists some of the most picturesque scenery in Italy. The town is a haven for travelers stopping off on a self drive tour of the area.

There are a number of ways travelers can get to the city of Garda. There are a number of airport located in the vicinity of the lake, with cheap car hire in Garda Downtown available for passengers on arrival. Travelers can also fly to the nearby city of Verona and take a train which takes roughly two hours.

By choosing car hire in Garda Downtown, travelers are able to drive around all the major tourist attractions around the town and Lake Garda in their own time. This gives visitors to the region a free and easy method of transport, allowing travelers to stop at all the amazing lookouts and small villages on the way.

Those who are traveling with children can visit a large theme park called Gardaland, located at the southern point of Lake Garda. Here, families or even the young at heart can ride paddle boats on the lake. A cable car also allows visitors to the park to take in the spectacular views of the Lake and surrounding area.

Accommodation in Garda is somewhat limited due to the small size of the town, but travelers can still find comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. For car rental in Garda Downtown, the best bet is for travelers to book online prior to travel in order to find the cheapest rates.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

What is a worry-free label?
