The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

The town has a long history which dates back to the time of the Roman Empire. What do I need to do when picking up a car?
