Location information for Deventer

Deventer is a Dutch city in the centre of the country. It lies around 10 miles to the east of Apeldoorn, and is a small and quiet city. Cheap car hire in Deventer is used by many visitors to the city as it makes exploring the town and taking day trips easy and stress-free.

There are a number of things to see and do in Deventer to fill your trip to the city. The summer is a good time to visit as there are special festivals, including the fun stilt festival and a book fair, while the winter sees the city become a place from a Dickensian novel.

While in the city, visit the charming Toy Museum, or head up to the mountain church, now an art gallery, which will give you lovely views over Deventer. The Brink Square is home to many of the city's main sights including the Waag which is now the city's museum.

Use the car rental in Deventer to visit neighbouring Apeldoorn. It is a place of beautiful architecture, and nearby you can see the Het Loo which is one of the Netherlands' royal residences.  What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
