The Thrifty address is incorrect

The Thrifty address is incorrect on 121carhire site. We had to track it down when we got to Campbelltown. Not near train station so with 2 large suitcases it was a pain... We managed to get a lift but please change it for the sake of others.

Location information for Auckland

Auckland Downtown is at the heart of the North Island city in New Zealand. This central area of Auckland is on a strip of land sandwiched between two bays, one on the Tasman Sea and the other on the Pacific Ocean. The myriad tourist draws and fabulous countryside around the city are easily reached when driving car rental in Auckland Downtown.

Auckland Harbor Bridge is synonymous with the city and heading across this allows tourists a panoramic view of the marinas here, which are usually packed with yachts, and the volcanic cones that comprise the Auckland Volcanic Field. Unbeatable views are available from Mount Eden, a five kilometer drive away with car hire in Auckland Downtown.

Surfing and swimming beaches along the shorelines are within easy driving range. The sheltered Waitemata Harbor boasts beaches that include Takapuna, Mission Bay and Devonport, while Piha and Muriwai on the west coast are popular with surfers. Devonport is famed for its waterside dining and drinking venues and heritage charm.

Kelly Tarlton's Underwater World is east across Tamaki Bridge with your cheap car hire in Auckland Downtown. This interesting site offers penguins and local sealife creatures with opportunities to interact with some of them. The Waitakere Ranges are around 30 minutes drive west of Auckland Downtown.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres.
