The Thrifty address is incorrect

The Thrifty address is incorrect on 121carhire site. We had to track it down when we got to Campbelltown. Not near train station so with 2 large suitcases it was a pain... We managed to get a lift but please change it for the sake of others.

New Zealand's capital, Wellington, is situated on the inner side of Wellington Harbor, in the extreme southwest corner of the nation's North Island. Wellington Downtown looks out over the small inlet of Lambton Harbor, which is also the northern terminus for ferries across the Cook Strait from Picton on the South Island.

The downtown precinct is a pleasing location with striking architecture, diverse cafés serving specialties such as crayfish, tuatua shellfish and pavlova desserts. Among museums are Te Papa, a marine facility and the Katherine Mansfield Birthplace.

Heading north out of the city with your car rental in Wellington Downtown, Hutt Road travels up the east side of Wellington Harbor and is the route for Otari Native Botanic Gardens and Wilton Bush. Taking the left fork and signpost for Porirua is the road directly across to the Tasman Sea coast.

This stretch of land is known as the Kapiti Coast and offers superb beaches, heritage attractions and national parks that are best reached when driving car hire in Wellington Downtown. Beaches such as Paraparaumu, Raumati, Waikanae and Otaki offer relaxation, swimming, fishing and strolls.

Raumati boasts a shopping village where outlets sell locals crafts, pounamu jade, wool products and all manner of other souvenirs. Kapiti Island Bird Sanctuary is across from Paraparaumu, visitor permits required. Paekakariki Train Station is the boarding point for heritage steam rides near Queen Elizabeth Park and Raumati. Otaihanga is home to Southward Car Museum's eclectic collections.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

 When will I get a confirmation of my booking?

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
