Nelspruit a major fruit trading centre and it is great place to come to experience the African hinterland and see the capital of Mpumalanga. There is a small airport 8 miles from town which could be described as a bush station and is not on the list of high tech busy airports.

Fortunately for the international traveler there is the Kruger Airport about 20 miles from the town and this has connections to the major airports to the south.
