Castellon otherwise known as Castello de la Plana is a historic city right along the coasts of Costa Azahar in Spain. It is the capital of the mountainous province of Castellon, and is a popular site for sightseeing , trailing and lazing around the stunning beaches. The city is also soaked in culture, boasting of a number of attractive cultural sites and historical monuments. The rest of the city is easily explored with cheap car rental in Castellon Downtown.

The city is home to some iconic century old buildings, like the Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Asuncion, which, in the course of history has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. Some original carvings and artifacts can still be found within the cathedral.
