The Wiltsrental town of Swindon is a place which can serve as a good base for touring, particularly the Oxford Downs and the quaintest of villages in the region. Set almost midway between Oxford and Bristol it was a staging post on the old routes across the country.

Nearby there are historic market towns such as Tetbury, Banbury and Gloucester, Swindon itself has grown as an industrial centre with particular emphasis on the car industry. Honda has a large plant here and commercial visitors will get a car rental in Swindon Downtown for their visit.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
