Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Excellent - the website had

Excellent - the website had been sluggish and repeated attempts to make the same booking resulted in 3 bookings. But the team quickly confirmed they had cancelled two, and the actual booking all worked fine once we got to Orlando.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Grand Junction is in west of Colorado on the I-70 on approach to the Rocky Mountains and is well and truly in Wine Country. The best way to explore this fine region of the state is to book car rental in Grand Junction.

The town itself is not the most enthralling, yet nonetheless is worth spending time in before heading out with car rentals in Grand Junction. The town sits at around 5,000 feet and is inherently cold in the winter, while summers are nice with fine vistas. Main Street is the most happening part of the town, with a typical line of storefronts and eateries.

The town is quite arty with a number of galleries, and the Art on the Corner is about the best of them. For Native American art, check out the Western Colorado Center for the Arts, while for dinosaurs see the Dinosaur Journey museum. Nearby is also the Cross Orchards Historic Farm, a living museum, plus the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens are beautiful.

The best thing, though, is the town's positioning near to some of the most fantastic scenery in the state. The hiking and biking nearby is excellent and there are many miles of roads to explore with budget car rental in Grand Junction. The Dinosaur National Monument is a drive of around two hours and displays a wealth of excavation sites.

The Grand Mesa National Forest is just off to the east, while farther east again with car rentals in Grand Junction are the top ski resorts of Aspen and Vail.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
