Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Excellent - the website had been sluggish and repeated attempts to make the same booking resulted in 3 bookings. But the team quickly confirmed they had cancelled two, and the actual booking all worked fine once we got to Orlando.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Most of the attractions and sights on Maui are natural, and the Haleakala National Park is definitely worth a visit. The main point of the park is the Haleakala Crater which is actually a volcano. From the summit you can see some fantastic island and park views.

Visit the island's main city Kahului with car rentals in Maui Downtown West. It is a great place for shopping and is where most residents of the island go to buy new items. There are shopping malls and department stores selling various items from budget to luxury prices.

Also in Kahului are some great museums where you can learn about the history of the island. There is a sugar museum and an arts and cultural center which is full of exhibits and events on the unique and ancient Hawaiian culture, as well as having more modern and American events.

Use budget car rental in Maui Downtown West to head to the island's beaches. These beaches are absolutely stunning and are not to be missed. Soak up the sun on the golden sands or take part in some beach or water sports. Some of the beaches are crowded with tourists, but if you do some exploring you're sure to find a tranquil hidden gem.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
