Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Excellent - the website had

Excellent - the website had been sluggish and repeated attempts to make the same booking resulted in 3 bookings. But the team quickly confirmed they had cancelled two, and the actual booking all worked fine once we got to Orlando.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Location information for Saginaw

The city of Saginaw is on the River Saginaw, 15 miles south of where it empties into Saginaw Bay. Saginaw is in the Great Lakes Region of the US state of Michigan. The city's two central districts West Side and Downtown are on opposite banks of the River Saginaw to each other. Car rentals in Saginaw Downtown provide an easy transport selection.

On the east side of the river the downtown precinct is the site of the Saginaw Children's Zoo, the Temple Theater, Castle Museum and heritage office structures. West Side is home to art galleries, nightlife venues and eateries. Heading north out of the city in budget car rental in Saginaw Downtown, Tittabawassee Road is home to local branches of flagship stores such as Macy's.

Farther north on the I-675 motorway from Saginaw are Bay City and Saginaw Bay. In the 19th century Bay City was an affluent timber and shipbuilding city, and this is still evident today. The Riverwalk is an attractive promenade alongside the River Saginaw at Bay City. It offers views over the river to the attractive mansions and pleasure boats moored on the other side.

Among Bay City's downtown attractions are fine dining restaurants, specialty and antique stores, and Bay County Museum. The Kantzler Maritime Gallery at the museum houses eclectic displays and artifacts detailing the city's maritime past. For a river and bay cruise or an ambient evening meal aboard tall masted ships head down to the downtown dock at Bay City.

Bay City State Recreation Area is northeast along Saginaw Bay's shores driving car rental in Saginaw Downtown. In summer the beach here offers swimming, adjacent camp grounds and access to Tobico Marsh's wetlands, hiking trails and observation towers. In winter the trails offer cross-country skiing.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
