Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Dubuque Regional Airport is located on Highway 61, 10kms south of the Iowa city of Dubuque. The airport serves the locality with commercial and charter routes, refuelling and maintenance services and a flight operations center providing pilot training for students at Dubuque University. Several flights from Chicago and Minneapolis arrive daily.

The airport's single terminal provides a coffee shop, ATMs and vending and gaming machines. Access to aircraft from the terminal is by stairs and a covered walkway, and a new terminal is in the planning stage, although with no timeline at present. Car rental at Dubuque Airport is served by a Hertz booth in the terminal.

With budget car rental at Dubuque Airport, tracing the course of the river as it winds through its lovely agricultural valley is a great day out. Parking at Dubuque Regional Airport is served by a car park within walking distance of the terminal, with long-term parking available and parking permits for frequent travelers.

Dubuque is an attractive city, with its historic downtown area home to many heritage buildings and its own symphony orchestra, theatre and opera house. It also hosts two casinos, one on a traditional riverboat moored on the river bank in the new Historic Riverbank development which includes a River Museum and a resort.

A 24 hour limousine service or taxi takes passengers to Dubuque, the oldest city in Iowa, set on the banks of the Mississippi River. The river is the heart of the city and its port, and the annual River Festival includes resorts on the town's borders, easily reached with car rentals in Dubuque Airport.
