Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The regional airport of Kahului is located on the Hawaiian island of Maui and receives regular flights from Honolulu. This route is one of the busiest in the US and sees a consistently high volume of passengers. Originally designed for narrow-body aircraft, the airport has responded to demand and is now able to receive some larger long-range jets flying direct from the mainland.

The terminal building consists of two concourse levels with 18 gates, most of which are used for short island-hopping flights. Situated close to the Baggage Claim area is the facility for budget car rental at Kahului Airport and a complementary shuttle service takes passengers to their vehicles.

As the second-largest Hawaiian island, Maui actually forms part of Maui County's grouping of four islands. In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
