Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

Excellent - the website had been sluggish and repeated attempts to make the same booking resulted in 3 bookings. But the team quickly confirmed they had cancelled two, and the actual booking all worked fine once we got to Orlando.

The only minor issue has

The only minor issue has to do with the windshield of the car. What ever cleaning product that was used was vey greasy and difficult to see thru the steaks. First stop was the Store for some windex wipes. Everything else was perfect

Florida Keys Marathon Airport is a domestic airport with flights to and from other cities in the US state of Florida. There are no flights to any other of the US states, though it is possible to fly into one of Florida's larger airports and then get a connecting flight with AirStar or SeaCoast Airlines.

Being such a small domestic airport, there is only one terminal building which is extremely easy to navigate. Check-in can be seen upon arriving through the main entrance, and Departures is clearly signed from there. There are plenty of facilities both in Departures and in Arrivals to make your visit to the airport comfortable and enjoyable.

While in the airport, you can make use of the ATMs, baby facilities, information desks and car rentals in Marathon Airport. There is also a restaurant in the Departures lounge selling American favorites, as well as a café, and one in the Arrivals area as well.

Once you have arrived at Marathon Airport and collected your luggage, go through to the Arrivals lounge and choose your mode of transport.  What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

 What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
