Everything was very straightforward, I was asked to buy additional insurance by Avis for breakdown etc, so it would have been useful to understand this wasn't included in the quoted price - if it was stated it wasn't obvious. It would be useful for you or the rental companies to provide more information on how pick up and drop offs work at the specific airports. Finding the drop off place a San Francisco was not great, as the address stated and google maps puts them in slightly different places - and the attendant joked that finding the garage wasn't easy.

The small town of Rhinelander, Wisconsin and its 8,000 inhabitants are served by Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport, three kilometers to the southwest of the town. Mainly used by general aviation, the little airport hosts only two commercial airlines, Mesaba Airlines and Great Lakes Airlines with flights to Minneapolis, St.Paul and Ironwood.

Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport has recently been awarded a grant to rehabilitate its taxiway by the Federal Aviation Administration under the Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
