Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

The Vichy Rail Station is the rail travel hub for the Allier department in the town of Vichhy. Napoleon III inaugurated the train station in 1862 when it was first opened for public use, and it was expanded later on in the mid-1970s. The original appearance of this train station was restored between 2007 and 2009.

Officially known as Gare de Vichy in French, the Vichy Rail Station has three quays and four passenger routes. Its lines include the Saint-Germain-des-Fosses Darsac, Vichy, and Riom. There is also the Vichy-Cusset line which is used for freight. The train station is also accessible to a service road and bus lanes for easy accessibility to automobiles.

The facilities of the train station include long-term parking for over 250 cars, with six of those adapted for handicapped travelers. There are also services for car hire in Vichy Rail Station for passengers who want the convenience of driving their own car while in a holiday in the spa town of Vichy.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
